Philipp Reichrath has been a research assistant in the Department of General Pedagogy at the Institute of Education at the University of Tübingen since October 2017. Prior to this, he obtained both a Bachelor's degree in Educational Science and a Master's degree in Research and Development in Social Pedagogy/Social Work.
His scientific interest is in the field of health in education. Particularly with regard to historical developments during the early phase of the professionalization of social work, his doctoral project will examine the discursive influences on this very complex of topics in an international comparison. The focus is on Jane Addams and Alice Salomon.
In addition, he is involved in the project "Studienstart", is entrusted with teaching activities in the Bachelor's programs and acts as a contact person for the Taiwan exchange programme at the Institute of Education. Furthermore he is contact person for incoming Bachelor students in the Erasmus programme at the Institute of Education. During his studies, Philipp Reichrath worked as a consultant in various fields of social work, mainly with people with chronic substance addiction.
